What are the current Covid restrictions?

The current COVID-19 restrictions in Scotland include:

  • A ban on visiting other households – this includes visiting other household groups in Halls of Residence;
  • A maximum of six people from two households may gather in outdoor spaces; this includes private gardens
  • A maximum of six people from two households may gather in indoor public spaces, such as in pubs or restaurants, provided they adhere to social distancing rules (face coverings, maintaining 2m distance etc.)
  • When eating out or drinking in pubs you must remain seated – queueing for drinks and dancing are not permitted; singing and shouting are also prohibited
  • Face coverings are mandatory in indoor public spaces and for public transport; some people are exempt for medical reasons
